Sinistra Critica fully supports the protest of students from Trieste yesterday that many institutions involved citizens to protest against the effects of the Reform and Gelmini to stop this reform
Reform - essentially made up of budget cuts and reduction hours of teaching - that significantly scales the service that the public school offers students, and that puts young people in a position to ask what will be their future, both as students and as future workers and citizens.
A reform that also has become the bearer of one of the largest layoffs in the history of the Republic: Only this year have disappeared in fact more than 41,000 jobs in the public school, with the prospect of layoffs 140,000 over 3 years. E 'therefore important that the category of school workers (teachers and ATA) support and show solidarity with the struggle of the students.
Left Critics also calls on all citizens and all those social forces policies and who care about the right to study and defense of public services, students rally around Trieste and support - even with symbolic gestures - their just demands. Sinistra Critica
